There are dozens of films on this topic.  One good sources might be San
Francisco International Asian American Film Festival which is a yearly
affair.  Their 1995 festival took place in March 1995.   May be there is
one in the works for 1996 around the same time.  Their address:

Third World Newsreel in NYC also has a series of films it calls Voices
form Asian Diaspora.
