In case nobody mentioned this a mute little girl figures as a character in
a 1956 movie, COME NEXT SPRING, starring Ann Sheridan and Sonny Tufts. She
is mute for most of the film until she recovers her voicefollowing an
accident. The film ends in the best 50s sentimental fashion with her
screeching happily to the camera following the reunion of her wayward
wandering father with mother Sheridan. A definite choice for Newt's
Video Store.
