Columbia College Chicago has a good film program that has beyond the basic 25
hr. requirements, concentrations in cinematography, directing, editing,
producing, screenwriting, criticism and sound. Your student could call
Columbia, 312-663-1600, ask for the admissions office, and request the
application, course catalogue and film/video brochure. Columbia has an open
admissions policy, requiring graduation or equivalent, from high school.

If you would like more information, I would be happy to give it to you. I am
presently a third year film student there, focusing in documentaries.

I hope this helps!
