How about Like Water for Chocolate--food is the focus; preparation of food is
act of love (or hate); food is ecstatic or sexual experience, Babette's Feast,
Pulp Fiction (in diner-opening and end of movie; narration of LONG litany of
breakfast courses eaten by the girlfriend of the boxer (Bruce Willis) when they
really need to get the h--- out of town); children: Willie Wonka and the Choc
Factory-- naughty child turns into food (blueberry), etc. Then there is a
 recent
independent film, The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (?), where
the two households of the neat, tidy, sophisticated home of the rich girl (who
should "do the right thing", follow the normal path)-- gourmet food
preparation-- is contrasted with the disorganized, sloppy kitchen of the
 lesbian aunt and
her niece-- Ragu, peanut butter, etc. A long scene of food preparation and
eating (and lots of drinking and pot smoking) takes place before the two girls
 hit
the hay.

Hope this helps.
