The 1996 Biennial National Conference will occur when media issues have
never been more dominant in our society. With this also comes increased
relevance and application of media to provide inspiration across broader
curriculum areas.
 
TO DATE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS AND FEATURES INCLUDE:
 
* COSTAS CRITICOS : Media education theorist and practitioner - Director,
Media Centre, University of Natal, South Africa.
 
*MEAGHAN MORRIS : Internationally renowned film critic, writer and cultural
commentator - Australia
 
*INDIGENOUS MEDIA : Opening day forum. Representatives from the Indigenous
media sector and academics researching in the area - Chaired by Michael
Meadows, Griffith University, Queensland.
 
WHO IS THE CONFERENCE FOR?
 
* Teachers across the curriculum who use media products, inquiry, or
inspiration in teaching.
* Film and Media teachers, Primary , Secondary, Tertiary Educators
* Media industry Representatives.
* Members of the community interested in the media debate.
