since we are going global on the prison film, consider the Australian
features STIR, GHOSTS...OF THE CIVIL DEAD, and EVERYNIGHT, EVERYNIGHT.
All extremely powerful, in-your-face, social realist dramas. Would Peter
Watkin's PUNISHMENT PARK also meet this criterion? Finally, one for the
arcane archivist, can anyone locate a prison film I've been trying to
track down, EXPERIMENT ALCATRAZ (RKO, 1950?). Thanks
