ITHACA COLLEGE COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM IN LOS ANGELES
Teaching Positions--Fall 1995 & Spring 1996
 
The Ithaca College Communications Program in Los Angeles is creating
a pool of applicants for possible part-time positions to teach 1
credit and 3 credit courses in a variety of disciplines for the
Fall 1995 and Spring 1996 semesters.  3 credit courses meet during
a six week period.  Datews for 1 credit courses will be announced.
All courses enroll undergraduate communication majors from Ithaca
College.  Course offerings will depend on enrollment.  Doctorate,
ABD or MFA preferred; Master's Degreee with successful teaching
experience acceptable.
 
FALL 1995 (September 5-October 17/ 3 credit course)
GOVERNMENT AND MEDIA:  addresses the role of government in
structuring media industries with an emphasis on the process
and function of government communications policy making, First
Amendment rights, media business regulations, issues in
journalism, and trends in deregulation.
 
FALL 1995 (dates TBA/1 credit courses)
FILM AND TELEVISION PUBLICITY
FILM AND TELEVISION DEVELOPMENT
 
 
SPRING 1996 (January 22-March 5/3 credit courses)
GOVERNMENT AND MEDIA
EFFECTS OF MASS COMMUNICATION
DRAMATIC SCRIPTWRIITING
ISSUES AND THE NEWS
CORPORATE SPEECHWRITING AND INTERVIEWING
ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION NAND TECHNOLOGY
 
SPRING 1996 (dates TVA/1 credit courses)
LOS ANGELES CULTURE: an introduction to Los ANgeles as a multi-cultural
city through  architecture, art, cinema and theatre.
 
Screening of applications for the Fall 1995 semester will begin on
August 1, 1995.
Screening of applications for the Spring 1996 semester will begin
on November 15, 1995.
 
Candidates should submit a vita listing teaching experience, the names
and teleephone numbers of three references and hours available for
