Is there any sources for Indian language popular
cinema on video subtitled in English. My local
India video store claims that subtitled videos
are not available via the Indian and English sources
he uses, but that videos distribued in Malaysia,
Singapore & Mauritius are generally telecinied from
subtitled prints - a result of the multicultural or
multi-Indian languaged audiences in these countries -
where English is the lingua franca between groups.
Has anyone insight into this - are their colleagues
out there in places with large Indian communities who
can help; e.g. Bradford, Birmingham, London, New York,
Toronto etc.
