For me, the best film ever done about the TV and how it affects life is "La
mort en direct" ("Death Watch" in the english version?), by Bertrand
Tavernier, made in 1979. Starred by Harvey Keytel (spl?), Romy Schneider
Harry Dean Stanton and Max Von Sydow, the film is full of poetry, sincerity
and drama.

Very moving and nice to see.

I hope this helps.
;-)
