Sankofa, an award winning independent feature by Haile Gerima will be
available on VHS in October 1995. The film "explores the world of
slavery and personal redemption through the time travel of an
African-American model who is possessed by spirits and transformed into a
plantation house slave" ("Sankofa: Distributive Justice" by Anthony
