I am in the middle of a research project on comedy films of World War II. I
am looking for information on how the government (Office of War
Information, etc.) was involved in the production process of individual
comedies. I have found some information but only of a general nature.
I am also having difficulty finding information on audience
reactions/response to the comedies of the period. Any and all suggestions
would be welcome. Since this is probably not a topic of general interest
to the Screen-L readers, an e mail response might be best. Thanks in
advance for your input.
