Interesting thread... hmm, the central recording (from the
future, played back via dreams) in John Carpenter's "Prince Of
Darkness."
"Double Indemnity"-- the entire story is recorded into a
an old tape/wire recorder by the dying Fred McMurray.
"Manhunter" -- the killer is first revealed to the police
via a tape recording made with the doomed reporter.
"The Cat and the Canary" -- The dead old man's last will
and testament are revealed via a home movie to his heirs.
"Natural Born Killers" -- Media recordings of the killers
used throughout.
"Star Trek VI" -- an oral recording is used to implicate
and sentence the Capt. to a death sentence on a penal colony.
"The Fly" -- Jeff Glodblum videotapes himself extensively
throughout his experimentations.
Throughout most of the James Bond films, the head of
Spectre (sp?) used film to voice his terrorist demands to the
world leaders.
"Black Moon Rising" -- Oneof the main objectives is to
get a cassette back in the car referred to in the title.

Geez, I could go on all day, but I keep looking at the
list of movies I've already listed, and realize I'm showing a
bit too much of movie watching to the audience. I really
remember all of this stuff?
