In a way I  wish that the Academy would leave the old masters (like
Antonioni) alone.  I don't think of myself as the superstitious type but...
 
I don't think that Antonioni will make himself available for interviews.  I
saw a brief interview on him on Italian television when it was announced that
he would be making a film:  He had great difficulty speaking (the lingering
effects of a stroke).  His wife spoke for him.
 I hope he will continue making films long after the Academy's tribute.
