I'm in the same boat you are, except I'm finishing up an MFA at FSU.  The
best advice I can give is to start cold calling some companied you're
interested in and see what their intership status is.  By doing that I have
scored interviews several places in LA, Chicago and Maryland.
 
Also read the trades, there are numerous listings in Variety, The Hollywood
Reporter, and Film and Video mag...to name a few.   The opportunities are out
there and it is not difficult to find work or positions that may lead to a
steady income (if there is such a thing in the entertainment business).
