A great technical journal for special/visual effects is CINEFEX. It comes
out about every two months and usually dedicates to one or two films. It
used to be free of advertising but lately has been stuffed with it (albeit
all related to the industry). An excellent resource for true
behind-the-scenes info, not the watered-down stuff you'll get from Newsweek
or other grocery store mags.
