ha. and when i wrote that last note i left off the important part, which was
to explain that when i said robo2 took the verhoeven over the top, i meant
that it takes the lunatic, anti-humanist, pro-godzilla-vs-mothra possibilities
beyond where the first film went (which was, after all, pretty recontained
by the end).
