To respond to Kyle Mechar:
 
Tom Hanks was filming Forrest Gump before the Oscar hoopla, so there's
really no connection there.  As far as the last sentiment -- that
Hanks must be stopped -- remember, Hanks doesn't write the scripts,
he just acts in them.  Your anger should be directed to the directors,
writers and studios.
