Not quite a lawyer film, but in Powell & Pressburger's STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN
(aka A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH), David Niven has to plead for a second
chance at life in a heavenly court.
 
In THE STORY OF MANKIND, Ronald Coleman defends the human race (with clips
from films!) vs. Raymond Massey.
 
In ORPHANS OF THE STORM, aren't the Gish sisters defended in court by
Danton?
