Also on the subject of evil child films:  one of my personal
favorites in this category is David Cronenberg's "The Brood"
(and not just 'cuz I work on Cronenberg). He takes all the
60's pop (poop?) psychology about wholeness and childrearing
then throws in some Joan Crawford/Sylvia Plath-style lashing
out at parents and sends the whole mess into a rampage. Cool.
 
And let's not forget little X-bert in "Eraserhead": "We're
not even sure it's a BABY!" Gads.
