I would like to agree with Jordan Stein's origanal posting on how Star
Trek does show a mostly eurocentric society as the 'federation' and we
only see white or assimilated minority commanders (STNG). DS9 shows us a
slightly different view of the 'Trek world, but not much has changed.

I beleive that Utopia is an important disscussion in any medium
because in a way we are all trying to show the ideal world we live want to
imagine
