          In response to  the posting referred to,  I  have  heard about  a
          number  of  rumors,  research,  columns, speculation, etc.  of  a
          Hollywood biopic on Oscar Micheaux over the last  few years. (The
          irony  of Hollywood filming the Micheaux story would certainly be
          overwhelming.)  However,  I  have  not  heard  of  anything  more
          concrete,  certainly  not  something  actually  filmed,  although
          perhaps someone who follows Variety and  the  trades  might  know
          more. A documentary about Micheaux and early race films, entitled
          MIDNIGHT RAMBLE, was recently completed and is  set  to  air over
          PBS's  American  Experience  anthology,  sometime  this  year   I
          believe.
