     The premiere edition of the James River Festival of the Moving Image
     will unspool April 15-17, 1994 in Richmond Virginia.  The festival is
     co-sponsored by the Departments of  Art History and Photography/Film
     at Virginia Commonwealth University.
 
     The James River Festival is open to original films and video, both
     student and professional in any style:  experimental, narrative,
     documenatry, animation, or other.  There will be no category related
     restrictions as each entry will be judege on its own merits.  All
     16mm, super=8, and VHS 1/2" completed after January 1, 1991 iare
     eligible.  There is no limit on the number of entries.
 
     Awards:  Cash prizes totally $2,500 US.
