It's not clear entirely clear from the posting whether you're looking for
a video or 16mm print.  In either case, von Trotta's *Marianne and
Juliane* is distributed by New Yorker Films; 16mm rentals for private
(classroom) screenings are probably about $175.  I would check with them
about whether the VHS copies are still in circulation (Facets doesn't list
the film...). For video prints/availability, call their institutional
video sales person (I think his name is Steve) at 212/247-6110; for
insitutional rentals, call John Montague at the same number. I hope that
