Could you be a bit more specific...there is a lot out there about US
television, for example do you want theory, audience studies, lists of
programs...daytime television, primetime television...?
 
You might try Fiske, Television Culture; Gitlin, Inside Primetime  and a
collection
called Female Spectators...but I'm not sure what you're looking for...
