One of the things I'd like to see SCREEN-L do, which I've done on a
sporadic basis so far, is distribute announcements for upcoming
festivals, conferences and journal issues (calls for papers and the
     like).

Problem is, I get these announcements on paper and I often don't have
the time to type them into the computer. If only folks would just
     e-mail those things...

Is there any one out there in SCREEN-L land that could pick up my
slack on this? Time commitment wouldn't be too bad. Think of the
service you'd be providing to The Profession! Think of the line you
could add to your vita: SCREEN-L Secretary (or we could even make up
a more exalted sounding name--"SCREEN-L Overlord" or some such thing)!

Wouldn't that mystify and intrigue hiring/promotion committees?!

If you'd like to volunteer, give me a buzz...

     Thanks!

     --Jeremy
