Perhaps that's because so many films are decidedly postmodern--pastiches and
self-referential.
 
I just wanted to add my favorite: *Jean de Florette* and *Magnon of the Spring*,
the Claude Berri versions of Marcel Pagnol's earlier work.
 
And Aris, is that a Montana address?!?!
