TITO & ME is in commercial distribution.
at least, in san francisco.

i didn'
t know anyone (who?) filmed the bulgakov.
the book had an excellent 1st person p.o.v.
i've seen many many ussr anti-system films
but most are cryptic or impossible to obtain.
however, there was recently a compilation film
entitled something like the HOUR OF THE SCORPIONS.
i saw it at san francisco international film festival
and then it played elsewhere. brilliant montage
about life unders stalin(ism): entirely from
"found" foodtage of the period -- including some
of russkies in us (during kruschev visit, i presume)
showing the evils of capitalism first-hand, etc.

good luck
