I'm not sure about bias in books - but when I was working on my bachelor's

degree in the late '80s, we were definitely corrected any time any "film"

language slipped out.  Then later, when I worked at a television station,

if you ever referred to "filming" something instead of taping, you would

receive many strange looks.  I personally think that the correct

terminology is preferred.
