* my favorite K film is still Dr. Strangelove..I never get tired of watching
* it, even though it's dated...much like Hearts and Minds is dated...It was
* everything we wanted to express at that time, and just as subtle as a rally
* at the Mall in DC.

Re Hearts and Minds (sort of):

has anyone ever seen the film "WHY WE'RE THERE"?
it's a Pentagon documentary shown in theaters in the mid60's, ostensibly to
describe what we were doing in Vietnam. Colorized maps of domino states
falling to the red menace and everything! A real hoot if you find government
propaganda amusing.

Are there good sources on the availability and archiving of US government
films (including or not Capra's psuedo-govt films)?
