ibhknw8, box office reporting wasn't very organized before the 60s.That's why
it's hard to track down figures for the many genre films released in the 50s.
Your best bet will be to find show business almanacs that date back that far.
Some of them have figures for the more popular films. Your Unversity library
should have them. --Don
