As a boy, I watched with fascination the performances of one of the most
curious performers I have ever seen - The Banana Man. I remember specifically
seeing him on the Captain Kangaroo Show. My question is this: Does anyone
else remember this performer (who, I have since learned, was named A. Robbins).
Do you know anything else about him? What was his full name? Do you have any
visual material on him? Does anyone have any videos of his performances? Does
anyone know what is the disposition of his performing props since his death (I
assume he is now dead???). His act was alike anything before or since and I
long to learn more about him.
