In response to recent query (I think the name was Ari
Kisiloff from Cornell), I would recommend highly the
Merchant-Ivory movies (_Howard's End_ and _A Room with a View_
are recent offerings, if the name seems unfamiliar). They have
made some gorgeous movies set in India. James Ivory (from
California) directs, and Ismail Merchant (from India) produces.
I can recall a couple of these movies offhand. I am sure there
