The Romy Schneider films may be available on videocassette in Germany.
Costs of transcoding German PAL standard to U.S. NTSC standard are quite
cheap, and your library or A/V facility might have facilities for
playback of PAL videocassettes. The Goethe Institute has offices in
several American cities and is very sophisticated and helpful in film
and video.
