Just a reminder: When you use REPLY to respond to e-mail you've
received from SCREEN-L, it bounces back to SCREEN-L HQ and then is
automatically distributed to the entire list. If that is not your
intention, then please take care to either alter the address on your
responding note, or send a separate piece of e-mail.

And in a quasi-related vein:

The automatic handling of SUBscriptions and SIGNOFFs from SCREEN-L is
done by LISTSERV@UA1VM, but it's not perfect. E-mail addresses can be
plenty complicated (40 characters and more!) and if you try to change
your subscription from a slightly different address, LISTSERV balks.

But human help is available. If you have problems with LISTSERV@UA1VM,
send e-mail directly to me:

I'm here. Believe me, it seems like I'm ALWAYS here.

What the great philosophers have said vis-a-vis love (as
          interpreted by Matt Groening):
Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and
then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath.
At night, the ice weasels come.
