In order to expand SCREEN-L's range and increase its efficacy I have
beencontacting academic film/TV organizations to see if they would like
to co-sponsor the list. By this I do not mean financial support, but
rather I'm interested in getting them to announce SCREEN-L's existence
in their publications and to use SCREEN-L for their announcements (job
openings, conference paper calls, etc.). It would also be helpful to
get e-mail lists from them to recruit new members.

So far I've contacted the Society for Cinema Studies, the University
Film and Video Association and the Broadcast Educators Assocation.

I also plan to contact journals such as SCREEN, VELVET LIGHT TRAP, FILM
QUARTERLY, CAHIERS DU CINEMA, etc. to solicit their participation.

Does anyone have other organizations/journals to suggest? And does
anyone know of E-MAIL addresses for these organizations/journals?

It'd probably be best to send this info directly to me, instead of to
SCREEN-L: JBUTLER@UA1VM (BITNET) or [log in to unmask] (Internet).

Thanks.
