Someone on the list may remember the research done by Trumball
into high frame rates. I'm not aware of any formal publication of
the results, but what was commonly mentioned was that rates about
60 frames/second produced markedly higher physiological responses
from audiences. The film BRAINSTORM attempted to suggest this
kind of effect by switching to a wide screen and stereo sound.
