School or College  :  College of Fine and Performing Arts
 
Rank              :  Up to Assistant Professor
 
Salary            :  Up to $31,000
 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Since this position is in an expanding area of the telecommunication program,
the ideal candidate would have Ph.D. (or clearly in sight) in Mass
Communication, Mass Media, or a related field.  Applicants should have a
minimum of three years college teaching experience.  Should have record or
promise of scholarly presentation or publication.
 
 
DATE AVAILABLE:        September 15, 1991
 
OTHER INFORMATION RELEVANT TO THIS POSITION:
 
Would teach a variety of courses in BA/Telecommunication Studies major.  Basic
courses in traditional mass media and additional responsibilities in integrat-
ed telecommunication systems, point to point, ISDN, satellite, computer and
cable technologies.  Applicant would be responsible in assisting the
department develop of a curriculum in these areas.  The ideal person would
have experience in an established program that focuses in developing
technologies.
