I'm very new to this list but something I've noticed missing from many of the
messages are the usual little "signs" that help to prevent misunderstandings
regarding jokes and the like, for example the smiley face :-) which
is used to denote a joke. Are these used on this list and I've just
not seen them? can't help feeling that this would help with the
problems and misunderstandings that have been occurring on the list.
