Izmir University of Economics (IEU), Cinema and Digital Media Department is accepting applications for a full-time, open-rank faculty position. Ideal candidates will have academic interests, practical skills, and teaching experience or the equivalent professional experience in the following areas:

-- Interactive narrative/ Interactive documentary
-- Innovative storytelling using new narrative forms
-- Digital filmmaking (camerawork, lighting, editing and post-production)
-- Documentary and narrative film directing and production

Additional skills would ideally include:

-- Creative writing, research, scriptwriting
-- Interactive media/game design and production

The position requires teaching theoretically informed creative skills as well as technical/practical skills in studio settings. We are particularly interested in emerging film/media artists/scholars with promising publication/exhibition/production records, yet the position is open to applicants from all academic levels.

Cinema and Digital Media Department at IEU was founded four years ago under IEU's leading Faculty of Communications as an undergraduate program that offers creative digital filmmaking and digital media arts education. The program is built around intensive studio courses that are designed to combine practical creative skills in digital filmmaking with theoretical knowledge of digital media and visual aesthetics through hands-on practice at all levels. IEU's Faculty of Communications, which hosts Cinema and Digital Media Department, has been ranked as the top school in its field in Turkey in 2014. Izmir University of Economics is founded by the Foundation of Izmir Chamber of Commerce. It is a medium sized university with an enrollment of over 7,000 students in more than 55 undergraduate and graduate programs, and the language of education is English.
