Call for Papers: Workshop on Indonesian Cinema
Saturday 3 October 2015
SOAS, University of London
Convened by Dr Ben Murtagh (SOAS, University of London) and Ekky Imanjaya (University of East Anglia)
Following on from the success of the Workshop on Indonesian Cinema and London Indonesian Film Screenings of 2013, The Centre for South East Asian Studies at SOAS will again be hosting a series of film screenings and an academic workshop in October 2015.
The workshop will bring together academics, researchers and students working on Indonesian film. The theme of the workshop will be as broad as possible in order to allow colleagues to exchange ideas regarding their current research. It is anticipated that one or two film practitioners will also be able to participate. Hopefully a number of the papers presented at the workshop will be brought together for publication in a journal special issue.
There is some very limited funding to support those attending, and we are still seeking further funding. However, those interested in attending should also seek support from their own institutions or external funding bodies.
Anyone interested in participating in the workshop should send an abstract of approximately 200 words to Dr Ben Murtagh and Ekky Imanjaya by 31 May 2015 to the following email address. <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>>

Thank you.
Best wishes
