AFTER LUCÍA: A CINEMATIC EXPLORATION OF BULLYING AND SEXUAL ASSAULT IN
SCHOOLS NOW AVAILABLE FOR EDUCATIONAL SALE

The White House’s recent issued report on sexual assault at schools makes
the Mexican film “After Lucía" a must to encourage in class discussion on
bullying, sexual assault, and abuse. The film is now available with public
performance rights. A poignant portrayal of wealthy Mexican youth by one
of the most promising and original filmmakers from the region, “After
Lucía" makes a vital contribution to courses in Bulling/Violence,
Adolescence/Youth, Women Studies, Latin American Studies, and Mexico.

“A master piece.” - Tim Roth

“Provocative and poignant.” - Gael García Bernal

“Michel Franco has emerged as one of the finest and most imaginative young
directors on the scene.” - Howard Feinstein, SCREEN DAILY

“Actors deliver entirely natural, unshowy performances as two wounded
people, still navigating devastating loss while the world throws fresh
horrors at them.” - David Rooney, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

“A great film from one of Mexico’s finest filmmaking talents.” - FILMORIA
