Please pass information about this exciting opportunity on to prospective students who would like to pursue graduate work in the New York City area:

The College of Staten Island, a senior college within the City University of New York, announces upcoming deadlines for admission to our Master of Arts in Cinema and Media Studies Program: Priority deadline for admission in Spring semester is November 15, 2013. Priority deadline for Fall semester is April 15, 2014. Late applications are considered, so long as space permits. Applicants must have a BA, BS or equivalent in liberal arts or sciences, and provide three letters of recommendation; a letter of intent, and a 10- to 12-page writing sample.

In our Masters Program, students undertake a rigorous two-year curriculum that spans core knowledge in media history, theory, and criticism. We offer small, seminar-style coursework, one-on-one advising by full-time faculty for students working on master's theses; and access to excellent production facilities for qualified graduate students. We have an outstanding track record in preparing students for PhD programs in cinema and communication studies. Alumni of our program have also entered careers in media production, screenwriting, film festival administration, and other related professions. Our location—on a verdant, 204-acre campus which now includes dormitories for those new to the New York City area—is within easy reach of the cultural vibrancy of all five boroughs and the greater metropolitan area.

For more information, please see information on our program and facilities, as well as faculty and alumni accomplishments, at http://scholar.library.csi.cuny.edu/mediaculture/maprogram.html. Also, please see CSI's Graduate Admissions Office at http://www.csi.cuny.edu/admissions/grad/. International students may also explore http://www.csi.cuny.edu/admissions/grad/international.html.
