2. Studies in French Cinema Research Bursary
The first bursary has been awarded to Jonathan Driskell. It will be used to pay for the copyright permission to use four still images from the BFI Library for a book entitled The French Screen Goddess: Film Stardom and the Modern Woman in 1930s France, which is to be published by I.B.Tauris. The book focuses on Annabella, Danielle Darrieux and Michèle Morgan. Jonathan is Lecturer in Film and Television Studies at Monash University’s campus in Malaysia.

The  French Cinema Project 'Portraits d'artistes'  is currently seeking scholars willing to offer bibliographical  entries both literary and personal on  the actors/actresses listed below (1000 words maximum) for a future publication.
