3. The Susan Hayward Prize
In recognition of Susan Hayward’s key contribution to the academic study of French cinema, the annual prize for the best article published in Studies in French Cinema in a given year by a researcher who was PG student at the point of submission has been renamed ‘The Susan Hayward Prize’.

4. Research bursaries
We now offer two bursaries of £200-300 annually to support early-career researchers with the costs of illustrating their work. For conditions see the SFC website.

5. Peer Review College
As the community of scholars working in French cinema has expanded, and the volume of articles submitted to Studies in French Cinema has increased, the Editorial team have established a Peer Review College to advise and support the journal.

6. The next conference
