Fixed-Term Postdoctoral Research Assistant – AHRC Funded Research Project, Manga Movies: Contemporary Japanese Cinema, Media Franchising and Adaptation • Ref: RA664

£29,853 to £35,646 per annum

UEA is one of the strongest universities in the UK in Film and Television Studies, with a Research Assessment rating of 3.4 in 2008 (5** in 2001) and thriving BA, MA and PhD programmes.  

The School is looking to appoint someone to work with Dr Rayna Denison on an AHRC-funded research project. Candidates should have fluent Japanese language skills; a familiarity with contemporary Japanese culture; and research skills that would enable them to consult a range of Japanese archives in order to analyse the circuit of culture from production to reception.

This full time fixed-term post is available from 1 January 2011 until 31 July 2012.
