Hello Everyone,

The UCLA Film & Television Archive is very proud to announce its DVD release
of ³The Ultimate Goldbergs!²

Often referred to as a ³lost² television series, ³The Goldbergs² spanned
four decades on radio and television and is considered the first television
sitcom. The program made writer-producer Gertrude Berg‹who also starred as
urban Jewish matron Molly Goldberg‹the most famous woman in America, and the
first woman to win the Emmy Award for best actress.

This DVD set contains all 71 episodes of ³The Goldbergs² still known to
exist. Also included in this collection is an excerpt from Aviva Kempner¹s
documentary ³Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg², the pilot for Gertrude Berg¹s later
television show, ³Mrs. G Goes to College², and twelve episodes of ³The
Goldbergs² radio show which was broadcast for 17 years prior to the
television show.

You and your friends can support the Archive¹s television work by purchasing
your own copy of the digitally-remastered DVD set here:
http://www.cinema.ucla.edu/goldbergs/

If you enter the promotional code NCJW-Screen you will save five dollars off
the list price, and a portion of the proceeds will help support the National
Council of Jewish Women/ Los Angeles.
