a puzzled [not to say subversive] question in re this thread . . .



 



does a "god's POV" shot have to be from above? . . . if so, is that a

function of our ingrained habit of thinking of the "Heavens' [capital H]

as the seat of the divine?, or is it a more metaphoric process by which

the camera is above -- and thus in some way beyond -- human travail . .

. or, for the more literalist among us, should any shot representing a

POV unavailable to the human eye [say a shot from inside a human body]

count as god's eye view??
