I'm hoping that people who teach about documentary film, especially to
undergrads, might have some ideas (happy to take them offline at
[log in to unmask] and to share in a consolidated way with the group
afterwards!) about how to reach people who are soon doing book orders for
spring semester. My forthcoming book, Documentary Film: A Very Short
Introduction, is designed for easy undergrad reading. It's really short,
focused, illustrated, Oxford U Press and $9.95.
The problem is the timing. It'll be out in late October (no galleys--it's
part of a series that doesn't do them). The press is "officially"
launching it in December, which assuredly will be too late for many to
order it for spring semester. So I've created a webpage that gives you a
table of contents and some excerpts (any suggestions about what else
should be there are appreciated). Here's the link:

If you have any ideas of how to let people know it's going to available in
the spring I'll be grateful. Never done this before. Thank you!
