Swarthmore College invites applications for a tenure-track position 
at the Assistant Professor level in film and media studies. Ph.D. in 
cinema studies, media studies, or related field required. The 
successful candidate will teach core courses (for example, 
Introduction to Film and Media Studies, Video Production Workshop, or 
Film Theory and Culture) as well as courses in his/her specialty. We 
are especially interested in candidates with expertise in film and 
media history, media studies, and/or digital video production. Please 
send cover letter, c.v, and three letters of recommendation to 
Patricia White, Film and Media Studies Search, Department of English 
Literature, Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, PA 19081. Application 
deadline is January 15, 2007. Applicants planning to attend the MLA 
convention should apply early for interview consideration there.
