Film Art by Bordwell and Thompson is a good book for basic info and 
good examples. The Library here has many books dealing with different 
genres opening tendencies but i'm not exactly sure what their titles 
are. The University library homepage www.lib.ua.edu has a search 
feature that might help. Have a good one, Kevin Williams
